A Modular Outdoor Room, in Aluminum

CabanaCoast builds aluminum pergolas as a system — pergola, screens, and slat walls share the same frame, finish, and hardware. Pick a pergola, then add screens for shade or privacy and slat walls for wind blocking or structure. Everything fits together because it's designed to.

The frame is 6063-T5 aluminum — the same alloy used in commercial window framing — finished in a thick powder coat that resists scratches, UV, and salt air. Roofs are louvered: rotate them open for sun, closed to shed rain into integrated gutters that drain through the posts.

Standard sizes ship faster than a custom build, and the modular approach means you can grow the system over time. Add a screen this year, a slat wall next.

R 1310

A rectangular wall-mount alternative to the C 2013. Anchors directly to your house for a covered patio, side-yard awning, or attached outdoor room — same louvered roof and gutter system, fewer posts in your sight lines.

Standard Features

  • Wall-mount aluminum frame, 6063-T5 alloy
  • Adjustable louvered roof, manual or motorized
  • Integrated rain gutter, drains through outboard posts
  • Same powder-coat finish & color options as C 2013
  • Compatible with the same screens and slat walls

Best for — a back patio that already has a sliding door or french doors, a kitchen extension, a side-yard pad next to a fence line.

Screens

Retractable mesh screens that live inside the pergola frame. Drop them down on a sunny afternoon for shade and bug protection — roll them up the rest of the time. Engineered as part of the system, not a third-party add-on.

Sizes

  • 13′ bay screens (paired with 13′ pergola sides)
  • 20′ bay screens for larger spans
  • Multiple bays per pergola, common configurations are 3 or 4

Finishes

Frame matches the pergola: White or Stone (matte light gray). Mesh is a charcoal sheer that filters sun without going dark.

Slat Walls

Vertical aluminum slats that fill out a bay of the pergola. Block prevailing wind, define the edge against a neighboring property, or just give the structure a more enclosed feel. Slats are angled so air still moves through — you don't end up with a sealed box.

Sizes

  • 10′ slat walls for shorter bays
  • 13′ slat walls for longer bays
  • Mix-and-match with screens in adjacent bays

Finishes

White or Stone, matched to the pergola finish.

Colors & Finishes

All four products share the same finish system — pick once and the screens, slat walls, and posts all match.

White

A clean, bright finish that disappears into a fence line or a stucco wall. Reads modern under any architecture.

Stone

A matte light gray. Pairs well with bluestone patios, dark wood siding, and natural stone hardscape.

On-screen colors are approximate — we keep physical chips in the showroom.

Modular System

Pergola, screens, slat walls — designed to fit together. Add to it next year, not start over.

Weather-Tough

Rain drains through integrated gutters and posts. Snow loads engineered for Northeast winters.

CabanaCoast Pergola FAQ

Common questions about the louvered roof, modular add-ons, and install.

What's the difference between the C 2013 and the R 1310?
The C 2013 is a four-post freestanding pergola — sits in the middle of a yard or patio. The R 1310 is wall-mounted: it anchors to the side of your house, so you only have outboard posts. Same louvered roof, same finishes, same compatibility with screens and slat walls.
Manual or motorized roof — which should I get?
Manual is a hand crank — simple, no electrical needed. Motorized adds a remote, optional rain sensor (closes the louvers automatically when it starts raining), and integration with smart-home systems. If electrical is already running to the patio, the motorized roof is worth it.
Do I need to add screens and slat walls right away?
No. The pergola is a complete product on its own. Screens and slat walls are designed to retrofit into the same frame any time later — we can install them year two, year three, whenever it makes sense. Many customers add a wall after they figure out which direction the wind comes from.
How does the rain gutter work?
When the louvers close, water runs down their flat top into a perimeter channel built into the frame. From there it drains down the inside of the posts and exits at the base. You don't see a hanging gutter or a downspout — it's all internal.
What does maintenance look like?
Aluminum doesn't rust and the powder coat doesn't peel. Clear out leaves from the louver gutters once or twice a year (especially in fall) — that's most of the maintenance. Hose down the frame when it gets dusty.
