Built Like the Rest of Your House

Homestead doesn't ship pergolas off a stack. Each one is designed and built one at a time in Pennsylvania — with the same structural lumber, double headers, and joinery you'd want for a porch addition or a roof framing job.

That means you choose the size, the post style, the rafter ends, the stain or vinyl color. It also means lead time matters — ordering a Homestead pergola is more like commissioning a piece than picking one off a shelf. We'll plan around your installation date.

All three of their pergola styles — Elegant Wood, Elegant Vinyl, and Cozy Arch — share the same construction approach: solid laminated posts, double 2×8 headers with decorative ends, 2×6 rafters, engineered L-brackets, and anchor brackets for concrete patios or wood decks.

Pressure-treated pine posts and rafters, solid through-and-through. Decorative rafter ends and corner braces give it the warmth that makes a yard feel finished. Stain it — or leave it natural and let it weather.

  • 2×6 rafters with decorative ends
  • 1⅜″ square stringers, 5″ standard spacing

Elegant Vinyl

Same lines as the wood pergola, finished in maintenance-free vinyl over pressure-treated lumber. The look stays clean for decades — no staining, no sealing, no warping in NJ humidity.

  • Double 2×8 headers with decorative ends
  • 2×6 rafters with decorative ends
  • PT wood inserts for maximum strength

Homestead Cozy Arch pergola with arched top and lattice roof option

Cozy Arch

A more sculptural take on the pergola — arched headers and a softer profile. The arch reads as architecture rather than framing, which works well next to a curved patio, a garden bed, or a poolside cabana.

Available In

  • Wood (stained or unstained PT pine)
  • Vinyl (white, almond, clay)
  • Lattice roof option
  • Privacy wall option
  • Standard or superior posts

Same Homestead joinery and structural specs as the Elegant series — the difference is the arched header profile.

Homestead Pergola FAQ

Common questions about ordering, lead time, and finish options.

How long is the lead time on a Homestead pergola?
Lead times vary with the season — spring is busiest. As a planning baseline, expect several weeks from order to delivery, plus a day or two for install on-site. We'll give you a real number when you sit down with us; the brochure isn't the right place for that.
What sizes are available?
Homestead works to your patio. Common sizes in the brochure include 10×10, 12×12, 12×14, 14×14, 12×16, 14×16, 12×18, 16×18, 12×20, 12×24 — but those are starting points, not a fixed catalog. The Vinyl Wall-Mount option goes from 3′×7′ up to 3′×40′.
Wood or vinyl — how do I choose?
Wood gives you stain options and a more traditional look, but it'll want a re-stain every 3–5 years to stay sharp. Vinyl looks the same year one and year fifteen — no staining, no peeling. If maintenance is the deciding factor, vinyl. If you want stain color flexibility, wood.
Will the lattice roof keep me dry?
A pergola is open-roof on purpose — it filters sun and adds architecture, but it doesn't shed rain like a roof does. If you want rain protection, you want a pavilion (also from Homestead). The lattice option adds shade density without changing that.
Can you install it for me?
Yes. Most Homestead pergolas in our area get installed by Seasonal World — we handle the anchor pad or deck preparation, set the posts, and tie everything in. If you have your own contractor, we'll happily ship the pergola pre-built for them to set.
